In mid 2010, Ghost Ghillie Suits introduced a new line of ghillie suits called strangely enough the Ghost Ghillie Suit. Most people do not think about ghosts when camouflaging themselves in the wild, but when you think about it they are trying to be ghosts. While the ghillie suits do not make you invisible they certainly try. The technology behind these suits have not changed in decades, but companies such as Ghost slowly improve them as the year’s go by. With these improvements come new colors and styles. Ghost introduced a new color that they call dry grass. This is not a far departure from the normal and popular desert color but it does offer hunters a nice change in color from the normal dry tan and black of the desert patterns. The dry grass is more greenish than yellow and with the abundance of material on these suits you can simply crouch down and literally become a bush. The woodland color was also reinvented by using 7 different colors of synthetic thread. The result is a very full and fluffy type of ghillie suit which is perfect for open fields with many low lying bushes. The Ghost ghillie suit does not have a netting layer as the camouflage thread is sewn directly into the clothing. The material is abudant and dense and somewhat heavy for a synthetic. They call it a mid weight ghillie suit which it is. Imagine a synthetic weight as much as a jute suit! That is alot of material!
